About Us

This website remains online as per the wishes of John Manetta (1927–2015). It reflects the form and content he oversaw and is not actively maintained. The site was never intended as a dynamic or continuously updated project, but rather as a carefully curated selection of works prepared under his supervision for after his passing. In this regard, the site is as intended. We cannot confirm whether the Vedanta Study Circle in Athens exist in some other form today. The original text follows:

We are students, in Greece, of Vedanta and the practical teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda and other Sages of India — past and recent.

This personal website is offered by the volunteers of the Vedanta Study Circle, Athens.

The Vedanta Study Circle in Athens, was started in the 70s by John Manetta, a student of Vedanta since 1949 and translator into Greek of a number of books re Ramakrishna-Vivekananda and Indian Thought – please see Library ‣ Books (Greek).
